Race Report Joseph Mendes Crit Formerly EMC2 Pleasant Crit
Weather Sunny and Nice light wind
Field size 80+
The race started at a crisp pace staying in the high 20's with many teams represented with multiple riders. Zenn, Seirra Pacific, Morgan Spinely, Specialized and Safeway. 10 mins into the race, Brian Bosch and a Morgan Spinely rider got up the road about 25-30 seconds and the rest of the race was a chase. Safeway and Zenn seemed to do the majority of the pace making with some strong efforts coming from Larry Nolan near the end of the race. The crit was uneventful and the break stayed away until the end. But only just. Bosch took the win with the field about 5 secs behind. Our best finishers were Scott (The Hitman) Fonseca and Rob(Pot Belly) Cady both finishing in the top 20 or so. The high light of the day was Andrew (Max Wattage) Lancashire taking the win in the cat 3 race earlier in the day. More reports to follow...
